Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract until July 2015

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Experience in the delivery of support services and of working with client groups; with kindness, compassion and empathy.  
•    An understanding of the recovery approach and knowledge of client involvement; regulatory requirements and best practice.  

THE COMPANY
St Mungo’s Broadway provides a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and works to prevent homelessness, helping about 25,000 people a year. We believe no one should be homeless and that people can – and do – recover from the issues that create homelessness.  We support men and women through more than 200 projects including emergency, hostel and supportive housing. 

Outside In is St Mungo’s Broadway’s Client Representative Group. This role facilitates Outside In to be effective in its purpose of enabling clients to participate as partners in the governance, development and service delivery of the organisation. Outside In is a busy, dynamic, creative and positive forum that enables its members to achieve their aspirations and inspire those it works with. 

THE ROLE
As a Deputy Manager you will play a key role in supporting the Manager in ensuring that Outside In operates successfully and maintains a positive reputation; promoting an ethos of diversity, inclusion and fairness. Your other responsibilities will include:
•    Supporting Outside In members’ personal development and progression and work with them to overcome any barriers that may otherwise prevent them from achieving their ambitions.  
•    Recruiting new members and ensuring that all members receive appropriate training and support, to participate as skilled and knowledgeable volunteers.  
•    Assisting with group activities and maintaining and updating the service’s administrative, financial and record keeping systems.

THE PERSON
The ability to work independently and effectively manage your time and workload are expected of you.  The ability to support and co-ordinate a team of client volunteers, utilising skills in facilitation, group work and training are also essential to the role.
