C#.NET Developer

This progressive and exciting Cornwall-based IT company is responsible for many innovative local authority smart card schemes throughout the UK and they are currently seeking a talented .NET Developer to support their expanding operations. The successful candidate will have a natural aptitude for taking on and solving complex problems.

They specialise in building, supplying and maintaining solutions to support multi-application smart card schemes for their customers. They are constantly working with new customers, new projects and new technologies which makes this an exciting and challenging position for a capable developer.

They are seeking a highly motivated .NET Developer with a CV who can demonstrate all of the following:

- Knowledge of C#.NET application development
- Ability to quickly digest complex problems and design the simplest solution possible
- Ability to manage time appropriately to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to communicate well with colleagues and clients from a non-technical background
- Able to work alone and unsupervised or as part of a team
- Fast learner with ability to quickly understand code written by others
- Able to work under pressure, managing time and prioritising tasks across multiple projects

Developer Skills Required:

- Strong C#.NET experience
- Strong SQL 2008 experience
- Experience of integrating into external APIs and WCF web services
- Understanding of the .NET Framework, including LINQ and WCF
- Strong platform compatibility work
- Experience using JavaScript / jQuery
- Understanding of the subversion (SVN) version control system
- Experience of ASP.NET MVC4

Beneficial:

- Experience working with data from various sources including Microsoft SQL and XML
- Good analytical skills
- SQL 2008 Advanced Services (e.g. Tuning, Reporting Services, Replication, High availability etc)
- Mobile experience (Android, Windows, Mobile, iOS)

In return, they offer a generous employment package which includes a salary ranging from £18,000 to £28,000 per annum (negotiable, depending on aptitude and experience), participation in the company's annual profit related bonus scheme and company contributed pension scheme.

Part-time working may also be considered for the right candidate.
