Our client is one of the world’s top ten steel producers. The combined group has an aggregate crude steel capacity of more than 28 million tonnes and approximately 80,000 employees across four continents.

Our client currently has opportunities for Electrical Engineers within the Steelmaking Team at Rotherham. All Team Members are required to fully comply with all appropriate Health & Safety rules and regulations, Safe Working Procedures as well as all appropriate Quality Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures. We are looking for individuals who have a have a good technical background and a sound practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering, with experience of team working in a manufacturing environment.

The successful applicant will have to demonstrate a consistently high standard of workmanship and the ability to adhere strictly to quality procedures. Applicants should have a sound knowledge of Steelmaking Operations, related processes and appropriate customer / service requirements.

It would be preferable that applicants hold one of the following qualifications, BTEC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent NVQ level qualification.   The role requires the successful candidate to be fully flexible and capable of working in a team as well as on their own. The candidate needs to be able to learn new skills and apply those skills to the required levels of consistency, competency and commitment necessary to enable Aldwarke Cast Products to meet the objectives, goals and strategies of the Business.
