Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Our client is a leading international provider of materials development, testing and assurance. Their UKAS accredited testing laboratories (Lab No. 13) provide testing, data validation and method development services and have become a byword for quality and expertise in the UK and around the world. A rapidly growing part of their business is in the healthcare and medical devices industries.

They are seeking an experienced chemist to fill this senior scientific role, key to their strategic growth plans. You will direct the development of work methods, translating client requirements into protocols, methods and reports to provide best outcomes for the constant flow of new challenges they receive as well as ensuring the accuracy and precision of data provided to clients. You will also play a central role in ensuring our technology is fit for the future. Leading a small team of development scientists, you will have the resources to maintain their proud record of innovation.

Candidates must have at least a Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, with proven experience and expertise in a range of analytical techniques. Experience in the medical device industry or its supply chain is an important requirement as is detailed familiarity with working to ISO17025 and GLP standards.
