An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior E-Commerce Executive to provide maternity cover at the UK’s number one coach holiday tour operator. Based in Wigan, Lancashire, the successful Senior E-commerce Executive will earn £28,000 pro rata, working 35 hours per week for 10 months.

The company offers coach, air, rail, cruise and hotels breaks to more than 170 destinations in the UK, Europe and worldwide, from hundreds of departure points. As Europe's largest coach tour holiday operator, it offers a huge variety of choice, making holidays as personal as possible. As Senior E-commerce executive you will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s website and ensuring continued performance of all online channels, with an emphasis on responsibility for organic search. Reporting to the E-commerce Manager the main responsibilities of the Senior E-commerce Executive include:

• Ensure that all web content is accurate, up to date and performing well
• Oversee the creation of online content
• Manage company social media accounts
• Liaise with product managers to ensure that the content for each holiday is present online, accurate and up to date
• Liaise with the development team about any ongoing and future developments to the website
• Diagnose and fix any issues with content display or bookings that may be reported internally or via customers
• Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports about online performance
• Plan, implement and oversee the SEO strategy for the next 12 months, taking responsibility for revenue generated from organic traffic
• Report weekly on organic performance
• Be aware of and monitor the website for any issues which may affect SEO
• Liaise with the PR agency to ensure that they take advantage of any link building opportunities
• Plan, implement and oversee the social media strategy for the next 12 months, reporting weekly on performance
• Manage the social media accounts on a day to day basis, including out of hours as required
• Manage a budget to ensure the greatest return on investment for attracting new fans and generating bookings from social media
• Liaise with travel shops and the commercial director to ensure that they are following best practice and prompt them to post about relevant topics
• Write all copy for the website, considering search engine and conversion rate optimisation
• Write copy for customer and trade emails each week
• Manage and maintain the blog, writing articles and sourcing content for articles from internal and external sources

The successful Senior E-commerce Executive will have proven and demonstrable experience in online marketing. In addition, you will also possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience of managing SEO strategy of a website and taking responsibility for social media accounts
• Possess a strong commercial understanding, web analytics and reporting
• Able to write concise copy that drives sales
• A basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience in Facebook advertising, email marketing, PPC and Coremetrics - desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• A team player who is also able to work on own initiative
• Organised and proactive
