Programme Manager

Responsible for leading the introduction and insuring adherence to target for a set of new products contained within one project.  Only the large projects will have a Program manager and they are responsible ultimately response for the project.

The position concentrates on timing and adherence to target.  This requires relentless communication both externally with the customer and internally with all departments.

Duties             

• External meetings with customers to review product design, manufacturing process & time line.
• Internal meetings with all departments to review product design, manufacturing process & time line.
• Report to the commercial team the actual status on the budget and the project timing
• Report summary to Engineering manager highlighting road blocks and other significant issues

Key Performance Indicators               

• Adherence to target for project in terms of timeline
• Adherence to targets for project development in terms of product tooling, production equipment plus D&D.
• Adherence to target product cost (BOM measured as monetary cost and SMV as time).

Qualifications             

• Mechanical Engineering degree or similar qualification.

Skills and Experience             

• 5 years experience in automotive trim – Ideally
• Knowledge of APQP approach and tools e.g. PPAP, PFMEA – essential.
• Strong project management skill and use of tool such as MS Project – essential.
• Experience of working with interior trim – essential.
• IT literate including proficiency in Microsoft applications including Powerpoint, Word and Excel – essential.
• Experience of paint or adhesive spraying – desirable.
