Our client provides a range of housing and day support and training services.

They have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to take a lead in driving forward their training centre and social enterprise based in Bradford.  You will be expected to take overall responsibility for the strategic leadership and oversee the day to day operational management of their busy training centres. Working over multiple sites, they provide a range of learning, training and development opportunities, including volunteering placements for homeless and other vulnerable people and provide training and support to those who are ready for employment in the heart of Bradford and West Yorkshire.

You will be responsible for identifying and securing a range of funding and other resources to support the delivery of current services as well as working closely with the Services Director to increase and improve services which will have a positive impact on those our client serves.  An inspiring leader you ensure the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation are firmly embedded in the way you and your team work.  You will broker and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of partners and commissioners to ensure they are in a strong position to know of and win a diverse range of contracts.

You will have excellent project management skills to ensure all projects start on time and meet or exceed expectations of funders/commissioners; of equal importance is that our clients receive an excellent experience.

It is important that they are able to demonstrate their financial and social return on investments and it will be a key part of your role to use proven and accepted methods of measurement.  You should therefore be experienced in this discipline or be willing to undertake relevant training to gain recognition and be able to produce reports.

You will also be expected to work closely with and support the Services Director to identify and implement continuous quality improvements that will best reflect the needs and aspiration of the organisation, its staff and clients.

With your passion for excellence in service delivery you will regularly scrutinise and evaluate feedback from clients and stakeholders, check and ensure the quality of support and advice being delivered and contribute to the design, development and delivery of our courses.  In addition you will be expected to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and commissioners.  You will produce regular reports on performance for commissioners as well as for the Senior Management Team and Board Members.  

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role and have a real passion for customer service and in delivering excellence.  You will have proven experience of securing funding and of managing contracts and staff.

You should have experience of leading services to reach and exceed challenging targets and you will already hold or be willing to undertake, at least a Level 3 management qualification.  A strong communicator, you will be confident when dealing with people at all levels and representing the organisation in a professional and positive manner.  You will have a good understanding of the issues around Safeguarding Young People and Vulnerable Adults and a willingness to undertake any training as identified.

This post is initially funded for 12 months and the post holder will be expected to contribute to securing funding to sustain this role in the future.
