The successful candidate will be working with an extremely well-known brand, joining as Team Leader at my client’s Nantwich store.
As Team Leader you will:
- Take responsibility for the day to day running of the store
- Deliver effective leadership
- Support the manager in delivering store key performance indicators
- Ensure company procedures are followed at all time
- Most importantly, deliver excellent customer service
Key areas:
Customers
- Drive excellent customer service at all times
- Follow through all customer enquiries, communicating the importance of excellent customer service and sales to the team members
- Ensure the customer is Number 1 at all times!
Sales
- Identify customer opportunities, overcome objections and offer suitable solutions
- Lead by example
- Actively link sell to the customer and coach team members
- Offer feedback and ideas to team members to improve selling skills
- Support the Retail manager in the analysis, investigation and action in relation to all shop results
- Continuous engagement of store team to drive a culture of service and sales
Commercial Awareness
- Support the Retail Manager in the delivery of the store KPIs
- Support the Retail Manager in communicating results to the team to drive performance
- Support the Retail Manager in driving sales through promotional opportunities
- Actively contribute to the store team sharing ideas and best practice
Retail Operation
- To assist the Retail Manager in maintaining accurate stock records and stock counting
- Comply with all cash and company operational practices effectively
- Act as Ambassador for the Brand
- Responsibility for the continuous delivery of basic store operating standards
- Comply with all Health and Safety obligations
- Competent working knowledge of in store systems
Team
- Initially deal with any issues, escalating to the Retail Manager when appropriate
- Support the Retail Manager in delivering induction and training to the team
- Ensure the team have clear direction
- Support team development by delivering training and coaching as appropriate
- Support own development as the primary training champion in the store
Person Specification:
- Self confident and able to instil confidence in others
- Passionate about the Brand, company mission and values
- Focussed on sales and profits
- Firm understanding of store trading patterns
- Able to advise on how the store is performing again budgets
- High operational standards, ensuring these are maintained among the team
- Able to motivate and inspire the team
- Effective delegation of tasks, following through to completion
- Confident communicator, providing feedback to the team when required
- Passionate about customer service
- Responds to customer queries and feedback in a positive manner
Candidates must have strong retail experience (customer service and sales), dealing ideally with high end customers.
Hours of work: 37.5/week worked over 6 days – Monday to Saturday. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible to attend trade shows (extra hours can be paid or taken in lieu).
Holidays: 24 days + bank holidays
