Position: Floristry Assistant

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: Minimum wage

Hours of work: 9am – 5pm.

Our client is a privately owned family run funeral business established in 1878. They operate across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire from six branches and are well established within their local communities with a reputation for quality and excellent service.

They are seeking a dedicated person, with a love of flowers and a passion for quality, to join their team of florists to assist them in achieving the high standards for which they are well known.

The Role:

This post involves some flexibility and a willingness to work extra hours when the workload dictates.

The successful candidate will be a team player, willing to undertake all tasks required to assist their qualified florist team in their work. This will include, but is not limited to:

• To prepare and care for the raw materials in the department
• To maintain tidiness levels in the department
• To assist in stock taking and stock ordering for the department
• To do base level tributes or initial preparation to enable the florists to complete orders
• To be able to drive and to go and collect additional orders as required
• To answer the telephone and take messages for the department
• To ensure that all floristry tributes are delivered to their specified location on time and in prime condition – to include liaising with funeral staff and delivery staff
