Job Title: Narrow Web Flexo Printer
Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Salary: £19,000 - £27,000 per Annum, Dependent on Experience
An opportunity has become available to work for our client, the UK’s leading specialist tamper evident label and tape printing company. Due to continual and sustained years of growth this highly successful company is now looking to add another experienced narrow web flexo printer to the team, to work alongside the Production Manager to continually improve quality, processes and production efficiencies.
As a Flexo printer the successful candidate must have a strong and proven background operating narrow web flexo presses, be self-motivated, enjoy learning and work well in a team environment.
Your Main Roles will be:
• Setting, maintaining and operating multi station narrow web press including pre-press work; mixing inks to job specs, wash-ups, job bag delivery, anilox clean up and assisting with packing requirements when press is running.
• To ensure that jobs are produced to the highest quality level and that quality procedures are followed.
• Producing high quality tapes and labels for blue chip companies worldwide daily to schedule and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
• To relay information through the Job Sheets on how jobs are produced and exactly what settings are required to repeat the process.
• Maintenance and upkeep of all equipment.
Key Attributes:
• A proven and recent history setting, maintaining and operating and narrow web flexo press including full job set up adjustments of mounting printing plates, web feed and tension controls, die cutting mounting etc.
• Have ink mixing and colour matching experience.
• Be confident working to deadlines.
• Be quality conscious and efficient.
• Ability to complete records and use computers; maintaining accurate production, time and required quality information.
• Trouble shooting / problem solving.
