Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Windows, Hyper V, Exchange, Storage - £45K - £55K + Excellent Bonus + Executive Pension + Benefits

An excellent opportunity within a leading logistics company, based in Central London, has arisen due to the growth of the company Infrastructure and the need for a Senior Infrastructure engineer to hit the ground running with project work aimed at improving the enterprise. This really is an excellent opportunity to join a globally expanding business with the opportunity to take part in many varied projects the infrastructure team have taken part in over 300 projects in the past 2 years alone.

On joining, the Senior Infrastructure engineer will be involved in many projects from the migration to the virtualisation of the company's servers. Reporting to the head of architecture, there are a very broad range of technologies available that the successful Infrastructure Engineer will utilise; from those operating upon a windows platform to Linux. The core of the responsibilities lie within Virtualisation (most notably Hyper-V, although advanced VMware experience would suffice), Storage, application support and the ability to lead a relatively small team.

In terms of skills, Virtualisation technology is paramount (HyperV/VM Ware) as is exposure to storage technology (SAN).Experience of working with Active Directory is of prime importance to be considered for the role. The ability to operate across multiple platforms with a core focus of Windows/Linux would put the successful engineer in good stead.

This role would suit a Infrastructure Engineer who has the experience to operate under the above technologies as well as giving the Engineer the opportunity to be involved in support, mentoring and training of more junior members of staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to work in a rapidly expanding environment, with opportunities to travel the world.

To apply, please send an updated CV with a covering letter summarising previous experience and suitability for the role to Daniel at Daniel.bennett@fpit.co.uk. If any further information is required about the role, please do not hesitate to contact Dan on 01189 585 507.
