Senior Infrastructure Analyst

Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst To provide high level support and enhancement of the Network Infrastructure and servers. Integration of software packages within the standard desktop. Administer Email systems and server backups. Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the IT Team at allUKsites Strategic * Implement solutions that are scalable and follow agreed strategic plans. * Perform due diligence prior to recommending software or hardware solutions. * Actively monitor Infrastructure systems to speed recovery of potential problems * Mentor junior members of the Infrastructure team Operational * Daily administration of backup and email systems. * Adoption of company regulations and adherence to applicable SOPs. * Coordination and prioritisation of daily activities. * Ensure incidents and requests are resolved within agreedSLA. * Ownership of project specific tasks. Main accountabilities: * Build strong working relationships with departmental management * Communicate effectively at different levels within the organisation * Cultivate trust between IT and departments based on customer service and the provision of suitable solutions Experience & knowledge: 3 + years detailed experience of mainstream IT systems such as Windows server, Citrix, Office, Exchange and VMWare. Education level: O level / MCSA / MCSE Prof. Qualifications: IT related accreditations desirable The ideal candidate needs to have very good experience right across the board, not just server's builds and support, but some one who comes from a networking back ground with skills which include: Cisco, VMWare - building hosts and setting up high availability, Firewalls, VPN's, enterprise backup systems, Citrix set up and support. If the candidate has meaningful project experience for example in migrating VMWare versions, or in upgrading active directory and Exchange, this would be advantageous The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, and demonstrable ability.
