Being the UK market leader, Randstad Education is dedicated to finding the right jobs for the right people. We have been helping teachers and support staff find temporary and permanent education jobs for twenty years running, working with over 2,500 schools each week and supporting over 135,000 children everyday. We pride ourselves on making the right match, not only for our schools, but also for our candidates. Therefore, if you have the skills, coupled with a passion for teaching, then we will endeavour to find the right match for you.

The Job:

You must be a qualified teacher, and have a minimum of three years teaching your specialist subject. As this is for day to day supply work, there will not be an expectation to do planning and marking, however, we are looking for those who will, wholeheartedly, throw themselves into the work and take each booking with a professional attitude. The schools in North London we are working with, particularly located in Barnet, Haringey and Camden, are looking for supply teachers that can show consistency and reliability, and are able to turn up promptly to last minute early morning requests. If you are looking for day to day supply, but also looking to get settled in a couple of schools you can really get know, then this is a good opportunity for you.

The School:

We currently work with a number of Secondary Schools in the north London area. This ranges from Comprehensive schools, to Private Independent Schools. From this, having experience of working in a wide rage of schools is advantageous. All our schools have the same expectations, and maintain high standards from both their staff and their students. Punctuality, amongst all, is very important, therefore I am looking for Teachers who are happy to be called in the morning for work but that can realistically arrive at the school for the time set. An appreciation of this is also crucial, so that you see the importance of arriving at school on time to start your lessons.

The Child:

Applicants can expect to work with students from various cultural and social backgrounds, drawing in from a wide catchment area. Experience of working with SEN students and EAL students would be beneficial, but not essential. You need to prove you have strong classroom presence. Our schools go on the basis of a firm but fair approach. Being able to instil a sense of humour and fun into the classroom is also important. In addition, to make a difference to the students you are teaching, you must be able to show that you are passionate about the subject you teach. Be it English, Humanities, PE….students thrive off, and are inspired by those that are teaching, and being able to talk passionately about your specialist subject is a must.

Working with Randstad Education, you will be working with a fully trained team of education specialists within the Education sector. Our specialist team have a combined experience of 20 years and have unrivalled reputation within the London market, taking great pride in the extremely high service levels that we provide to both our schools and our candidates. In reward for your commitment and hard work we are able to provide competitive rates of pay, dedicated consultants on a 24 hour call and online access to Randstad Educations online CPD portfolio.
