Are you a humanities teacher with an interest in Geography?
Randstad Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Nottingham for a Geography Teacher.
The Job:
- The Department of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences (GEES), at this large secondary school in Nottingham are expanding and are now including Geology into their extra-curriculum opportunities.
- They are currently looking to recruit a new member of staff to cover a maternity from January teaching Geography to GCSE level.
- The successful applicant will be required to develop and lead teaching in areasof the Geography curriculum.
- Be able to plan and mark course work, maintain standards and ensure that all students achieve required grades.
The School:
- Large secondary in the Nottingham area.
- Around 1,300 pupils on its roll.
- Inclusive school with a large focus on building from the local community it serves.
- Offers a wide range of academic, vocational and work based courses for pupils.
The Child:
- Ages 11 to 16 coming from it's large catchment area of Primary schools.
- Small number of students with SEN.
- Students from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
