Web developer/MVC/Leigh/WIGAN

Web developer required to design, develop internal web applications for the client. The developer will also support the modifications of existing web based applications being used by the company. The developer will be involved in various stages of development including web design, coding, testing and support. Working with the software development team responsible for developing internal applications for the client. Write and maintains computer code, programs, and specifications documentation. Perform code unit tests and demonstrate the ability to properly validate functionality of work produced. Demonstrate expert knowledge in web presentation technologies. Understand browser specific compatibility issues as well as the benefits of the various design methodologies. Respond rapidly to continuous changes and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Communicate the status of projects in a timely manner in a clear and concise way. Work independently with limited supervision as well as within a team environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Technical Skills in Web Application Development using Microsoft .NET Framework 4,Sound understanding and exposure to ASP.NET MVC framework, experience in implementing responsive UI using latest technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML and JSON, jQuery, CSS3, HTML5 and ASP.NET MVC with C#. Experience with frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap, Knockout.js, with Agile Software Development and the ability to understand common UI design patterns, best practices, and standard conventions. Proficiency in source code management practices. Expertise with debugging code and providing customer experience enhancing solutions. Ability to understand managing scalable, cross browser, and cross device code. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage Specification ; Minimum 3 years of experience as Front End Web Developer, demonstrate proven track record of developing enterprise-grade web front-ends, skilled in responsive web development, excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles. A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape. Ability to multi task and good time management skills, to work on their own and as a part of the team. Excellent testing/ QA skills. A degree or other relevant qualification to support the required experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, and demonstrable ability.
