Our client is searching for a talented and experienced ERP Application Analyst & Engineer professional to join their team. You would become part of a highly skilled team, working as an ERP Application Analyst & Engineer to support our clients ERP and Finance application users in their daily tasks and manage application change requests.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Day-to-day support of system issues (currently MFG/PRO and Syspro).
· Lead and collaborate with the applications super users to manage the consistency and prioritization of developments and application setup across the sites.
· Lead and participate in system enhancement and roll-out projects.
. Handling and prioritisation of IT user requests.
· Development and maintenance of PROGRESS programs (MFG/PRO related)
· Development and maintenance of .NET programs (Syspro related).
. Development and maintenance of UNIX shell scripts.
· Ensure system stability and availability by proper change management control and system testing.
· Manage outsourced activities (e.g. developments, services, etc.).
· Analyse business processes and advise the business in the case of useful / necessary changes.
· Lead or contribute to any other technology projects as required.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
· Response time; Effective resolution of issues - System up-time ratio
· Super users feedback
· Project Objectives achieved
· Programmes developed according to quality standards and delivered on time
· Changes and testing documentation
· Outsourced activities on plan (budget and time)
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
· Understanding of business processes
· Familiar with ERP application processes and configuration
· Knowledge of SQL database structures, rules and administration
· UNIX and Windows Server knowledge in order to support the relevant OS platforms
· Common PC software (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
· Bespoke application programming and testing, ideally in PROGRESS
· Basic understanding of EDI concepts
