Plant Resource Planner
Normanton
Our client is a successful business combining the skills, resources and experience of rail and construction. Celebrating 25 years in the general construction industry, and with over 10 years experience of permanent way and rail related building and civil engineering projects, Our client has grown into a highly respected company and as part of that continued growth they now have a vacancy for a full-time Plant Resource Planner based at their Normanton Office.
Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will ensure that Rail Plant is allocated to the correct job with a qualified operator assigned to it. You will also assist in the day to day running of the Plant and Transport department, providing a comprehensive administrative support service in accordance with statutory requirements, client expectations and company procedures.
Specific responsibilities include;
• Arranging current and future hire of machines, plant items and operators
• Updating worksheets to ensure Plant Operators are correctly rostered
• Keeping and up to date log of plant operator vans
• Liaising with Rail sites to establish plant requirements and making appropriate arrangements
• Negotiating and agreeing rates with suppliers from the approved supplier list.
You will need to have strong organisational skills, be conscientious and driven and have experience of working in a fast paced environment although a willingness to learn is essential. You must also have a personable manner, able to remain calm, logical, polite and professional at all times whilst dealing with customers, both internal and external. A good telephone manner is important, with the ability to process calls and emails and direct as appropriate.
