A rare opportunity is available for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join an established lift company that has been in operation since 1997 growing steadily over the years, developing into a firm that is trusted and respected by consultants, builders, and building owners alike, from National Health Trusts and Local Authority's, to private clients with single units of any description. Based in Liverpool, the successful Business Development Manager will earn £35,000 - £40,000 plus bonus.

As a Business Development Manager you will be a high calibre sales professional and will play a key role in contributing to the continued growth, success and growth of the company. Reporting to the Directors the Business Development Manager will be covering a 100-mile radius from the office. The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Generate new leads, identify new opportunities and create sales opportunities through proactive communication, follow-up, appointment setting and networking
• Developing new lift sales and further the regional client base
• Report on sales and performance against KPIs
• Review sales targets and develop territory plans to help achieve targets
• Assist in the development of business strategies and monitor the competition in the UK market
The successful Business Development Manager will possess the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrable success in creating and executing sales campaigns and delivering against sales targets
• Ability to establish a strong network of contacts
• Customer focused
• Proven track record of developing own leads
• Experience of working in the construction industry procurement process
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Capable of working as part of team as well as on your own
• Self-driven, results orientated with a positive outlook
• A natural forward planner who critically assess your own performance
• Credible and comfortable in communicating with people at all levels
• Entrepreneurial, innovative and adaptable approach in dealing with problems
• Experience in the lift industry would be beneficial but is not essential
