PROCESS ENGINEER

PROCESS ENGINEER - CO.DURHAM - £30-35K

Exciting career opportunity for a process engineer based in County Durham for a niche, market leading engineering business.

Specific tasks will include:-

•    Design and implementation of new processes including writing purchase specifications, timing plans and approval procedures.
•    Update and improve existing processes to optimise productivity.
•    Process monitoring and be able to react to any changes outside normal operation.
•    Run and support kaizen and improvement projects.
•    Day to day production support and general fault finding.
•    Write Standard Operating Instructions and train operators to them.

The successful candidate will:-

•    Be degree qualified in an engineering field and mechanically biased.
•    Have more than 2 years’ experience in a production environment (essential).
•    Have experience in grinding and lasers (advantageous).
•    Have a positive and enthusiastic personality, be flexible and have good work ethics and a willingness to learn.

The candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working as a process engineer supporting and developing production processes.  The individual will need to be able to take initiative, prioritise work, deliver to tight deadlines and complement the engineering team.

The rate of pay is in the range of £30k - £35k per annum depending on experience. The company operates a Group Personnel Pension Plan.  The Company will contribute 5% of salary to those employees that elect to join the scheme once you have successfully completed your probationary period.
