Our client is an established construction business based in North Yorkshire, currently recruiting for a full-time or part-time Bid and Procurement Team Administrator. This role is a 6 month fixed term contract, with potential for extension.
Due to continued expansion our client is looking for an experienced administrator to work within their Bid/Estimating/Procurement team. The Bid and Procurement Team Administrator will be involved in:
Tender Application
- Check tenders suitability
- Checks with client if request is at tender stage/secured work/preferred bidder stage
- Prepares administration documents
- Advises client of intention to tender
- Declines unsuitable tenders
- Maintains enquiry spreadsheet
Tender Submission
- Completes Pre Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ)
- Preparation of spreadsheets to simplify Bill Of Quantities (BOQ)
- Retrieval of information from Bill Of Quantities (BOQ)
- Proof reads and prepares tender letters
- Prints all tender documents, scans and submits
- Organise, process and file queries, amendments, changes and revisions.
Tender Status
- Requests deadline extension from client where necessary
- Liaises with client
- Chases tender progress
Procurement
- Submits simple enquiries for prices
- Assist with administration of materials/labour procurement/delivery, conformance and stock control.
Other Administration
- Daily phone calls and letters regarding status of tenders.
Bid and Procurement Team Administrator - Skills & Experience:
- Must be very well organised, accurate and have a high level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Excel, Word, PDF documents and Outlook
- Well equipped to work to fixed/tight deadlines
- Excellent communication both written and spoken
- A keen team player
Our client is recruiting either a full-time or part-time Bid and Procurement Team Administrator paying £15,000 - £17,000 basic salary pro-rata, 30+ hours - 6 month fixed term contract, with potential for extension.
