The Role:
Principal Accountant
Based in Bolton.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £28,774 - £33,912 per annum (Pro Rata)
Fixed Term Contract to 31/03/2015 (36 hours per week)
The Client:
Our client is a leading Social Housing provider.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Our client based in Bolton is inviting applications from qualified and part qualified accountants for the post of Principal Accountant in the Financial Services department.
As Principal Accountant you will work alongside other Principal Accountants to ensure that team targets and objectives are met.
Responsibilities include the accurate monitoring and forecasting of revenue & capital budgets, providing financial advice to budget holders, the accurate preparation and reconciliation of balances for production of the final accounts and preparation of budget estimates, complete grant claims, government returns and other monitoring information in line with appropriate deadlines.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience of financial and management accountancy is essential, as is the CCAB Accountancy Qualification (qualified or working towards.)
Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to problem solve and identify appropriate solutions in relation to budgets, as well as use their communication skills to inform non finance orientated officers about their budgets and financial responsibilities.
The post is a fixed term contract pending a restructure on the Finance team.
This position is based in Bolton.
