Machine Operative

Our client is a small but growing company based in Derby that manufacture water lubricated bearings for the marine and pump industries. We are looking for a semi-skilled machine operative to add to our shop floor team - training will be given but some experience in an engineering environment and with manual machines is required. The role involves completing various production operations in the manufacture of our bearings on centre lathes, a CNC lathe and saw as well as other general engineering duties as required by the production coordinator.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Requirements:

- Reliability is paramount

- Experience within an engineering environment & in machine operation

- Manual centre lathe experience preferred

- Ability to learn quickly on the job

- Ability to work well as part of a small team

- Hardworking

- Available to work a 3 shift system including a night shift every 3rd week - no exceptions, please don't apply if you are unable to do this
