Community Fundraising Officer – covering the north west region (maternity cover – starting September 2014 approx. 9 months) Home based, with regular travel and scheduled meetings at: New Anstey House, Gate Way Drive, Yeadon, Leeds, LS19 7XY.

NOTE: Closing date: Thursday 31 July at 8am. Interviews will be held at Epilepsy Action’s head office (Leeds) on 18, 19 or 20 August 2014. We cannot guarantee which date at this time.

Community Fundraising Officers - Home based with regular travel - 34.5 hours flexible working 2014 Salary: £22,352, plus additional home working allowance.
 
A great opportunity to undertake community fundraising for a national charity. This role will join a vibrant established fundraising department, and you will have an important part to play in it.

Epilepsy Action is looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to be part of its events and community fundraising team. This role will allow you to develop your community fundraising skills, as well as your volunteer management skills. You will work with volunteers, local individuals, community groups and companies. Delivering a wide range of fundraising opportunities and responsible for generating income, this role will include:
- Developing and organising locally-based fundraising volunteers, fundraising events, activities and collections, and seeking involvement in externally organised local sports events
- Generating income from local individuals, local community groups, schools, and companies
- Maximising involvement in activities generated by the national events team at the local level
- Developing local relationships with corporate organisations and community groups.

We are looking for people who meet the following:
- Proven experience of effective events organisation and/or working with volunteers
- Proven experience of researching, developing and promoting events/services or products
- Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with community and corporate organisations
- Proven experience of securing donations, grant income or new business
- Keen to be part of a successful and friendly fundraising team.
