This company is an Oxford-based start up that has created a unique online product with significant worldwide consumer potential. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team to create propositions and identify, convert, and grow opportunities.
Sales and marketing partnerships are going to be an important avenue for growth for the company so this new role represents a genuinely rare opportunity to start something from scratch, nurture it, and grow it.
Working with the Chief Marketing Officer and the senior management team you will hit the ground running and help define, establish, and grow a successful business development strategy that delivers short and long term business partnerships to grow customer acquisition and brand recognition in the consumer market. You will also act as the day-to-day point person for their partners.
The range of partnerships will be varied and interesting, and ultimately created by you. Resellers, affiliates, referral schemes, brand ambassadors, experts, and advertising suppliers: you will work all channels necessary to deliver for the business.
You will be an imaginative strategic thinker and a confident communicator with good judgement and decision-making skills. You enjoy finding, working, and structuring business deals that marry the best solution for the partner with the best solution for the company. You have solid marketing knowledge and can think on your feet so that you can find new creative ways of working together with their partners. You are also passionate about new digital technology.
The offices are situated in central Oxford, and while it is an advantage if you live in the area it is not absolutely necessary as they imagine most business opportunities will be in London. It would be a minimum requirement to go to the office one day a week, the other days you could work from home when not visiting partners.
Personality and drive is more important than experience, so if you think you have what it takes and are looking for a new challenge in a hugely rewarding environment, working for a fun and young company, then they would love to hear from you.
The Company
They are a young and ambitious company based in Oxford. They are a friendly and passionate team building a world-class business. As a member of their team you’ll get a great work environment, support and encouragement to excel, and a competitive salary with share options.
