The Client
This multi-national, leader in the design and manufacture of wireless communication technology is looking to recruit an outstanding Senior Hardware Design Engineer to add to their existing design team.
The Role
The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of electronic systems, subsystems and modules. This will include Digital designs with microcontrollers, DSP, programmable logic, distributed logic; ADC / DAC interfacing; Analogue preconditioning for speech and audio; Low noise, high efficiency power supplies.
Additional tasks will include schematic capture, Generation of layout instructions, Prototype evaluation and Pre-approval testing.
There will be significant client contact with the Senior Hardware Design Engineer assisting in pre-sales activities and performing project quotations, preparing and presenting technical proposals to customers and project review meetings and calls.
The Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to have a relevant degree level qualification and experience in a similar Senior Hardware Design position. Excellent communication skills are required due to the regular client communication and the responsibility of mentoring junior colleagues. Specific experience of any of the following would be advantageous; Orcad, Spice, Matlab, Xilinx ISE, Labview.
