This Travel Group consists of 11 well known and successful brands and is the world’s largest adventure travel company. Supporting their companies is a globally distributed enterprise system unlike anything previously available within the sector. The system you will be working on is the web site component of their enterprise architecture. As part of the integration of all brands onto a single set of applications, all brands will have a standard architecture.
This role will focus on the delivery of branded web platforms to the group of adventure travel companies globally. You will be working closely with external consultants and internal team members to deliver best practices web sites. You will also be working with a number of different marketing teams based primarily in the UK, North America and Australia.
They are looking for a Graduate/Junior PHP Web Developer with several years of experience to work with their growing team. There are great prospects for training and development within the organisation and to apply for this role you must have:
- A good experience and understanding of PHP, Web and Database technologies. They are looking for at least 1 to 2 years solid PHP coding experience with good standards compliance.
- Some experience of working in an agency or corporate environment.
- Solid communication and organisational skills and a positive can-do attitude. You must be a hardworking team player with an eye for detail and bringing projects in on time.
- An understanding of Linux, Apache http servers, MySQL and PHP - how to find your way around them and configure.
- Full UK nationality, or full UK working visa
Bonus points for:
- Experience of Drupal module development/Drupal theming.
- A drupal.org id
- An understanding of other web technologies - such as Javascript, JQuery, NodeJs etc.
- Experience of using caching technologies - Varnish, memcache etc.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Jira.
- Responsibility and pride in your work.
- CRM/RESTful services integration
- Drupal site configuration.
