Heat Treatment Sales Engineer Stork Technical Services Ltd, (Cooperheat) Southport

We are currently seeking to recruit a Sales Engineer for our Heat Treatment Product Line.

The position would ideally suit an individual with previous heat treatment application experience, or alternatively, experience within a similar engineering field such as welding, electrical industrial process equipment or metallurgy. The successful candidate will require the confidence to succeed in a sales and customer relationship development role. Sales experience would be an advantage although not essential as training and development will be offered for the right candidate. Purpose of the Job:
To maintain positive customer relations and provide technical sales support and quotations to customers to meet their needs and to further develop sales revenues for Cooperheat Product Line Heat Treatment services, equipment and
furnaces.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Processing equipment quotations and orders;
• Follow up and chase pending quotations;
• Logging incoming and outgoing customer contacts;
• Maintaining contact with existing customers and seeking out new clients;
• Contacting dormant customers;
• Dealing with selected key customer accounts;
• Collecting customer feedback;
• Reporting market and customer information to senior management;
• Keeping up to date with product developments and competitors;
• Assist in payment chasing;
• Submitting bi-weekly sales and order forecasts;
• Assist non-technical colleagues and customers on technical questions as required;
• Suggest technical solutions to customer’s specific technical requirements;
• Customer sales and training visits in the UK and occasionally overseas;

The Candidate:
• Excellent customer interface, interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective and lasting business relationships;
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes;
• Confident manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Confident in dealing with major Client accounts in the Energy/Oil/Gas Sectors and able to meet and present to customers, technical operators and senior engineers and managers;
• Ability to conduct customer training in use of equipment;
• Ability to travel both within the UK;
• Full UK driving licence;

Salary to be agreed dependent on experience (plus car allowance).
