Randstad Education are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, confident and experienced support workers / teaching assistants to work within challenging SEN / referral units withing Derby and Derbyshire on a temporary basis.

Candidates that have previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour would be an advantage, whether within a classroom environment or at alternative provisions such as activity centres, summer camps etc.

The children within these environments are aged between 7 and 16 and are no longer within mainstream education, mostly due to behaviour issues due to an array of special needs. Randstad are working in partnership with their clients to recruit a number of teaching assistants, behaviour management and de-escalation skills will be a huge part of the role as well as aiming to engage the students into learning within an alternative education environment.

If you have similar experience and want to get into education and this sounds like the ideal opportunity please call Wendy as soon as possible. Become part of a team where you can make a real difference to a young persons future.
