Job Title: Sales Support Engineer
Location: Tredegar, Blanaeu Gwent
Salary: £20,000 - £21,000 per Annum + Conditional Bonus & Benefits
Our client is a leading British designer and manufacturer of intelligent lighting solutions with a respected reputation worldwide. They are committed to UK manufacture with facilities based in Wales and Hampshire. They have won multiple industry awards including "LA Light Source of the Year" for two consecutive years; their success a result of a highly technical and dedicated team.
Due to their continued growth and expansion they are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Support Engineer to be a part of a very exciting future at our client.
Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, the successful applicant will be working as part of the sales team in Tredegar which is focused on managing technical queries and processing pre-sales quotations. This leading role requires an individual who has experience in both customer service and manufacturing roles, with a good aptitude for technical products.
Sales Support Engineer Key Responsibilities:
-Managing customer quote requests, edits or re-issues.
-Working with the external sales team, customer base and operations team.
-Creating accurate quotations in a timely manner, working through the product range.
-Managing the sales email system and ensuring prompt follow-up to all emails received.
-Acting as a contact for customers via telephone or electronically with a specific focus on first line technical support.
-Interacting with the engineering and warranty support team to technical detail is up to date and provided to customers as required.
-Supporting the team by raising customer purchase orders and processing them into sales orders in Sage.
-Answering and forwarding all calls to the relevant departments.
-Prioritising and organising your workload to meet a variety of deadlines in order to deliver a high quality service to customers.
Sales Support Engineer Required Skills:
Our client is looking for an organised and methodical candidate who is accurate and efficient, with a keen eye for details and a good sense of initiative. An excellent telephone manner and experience working with Sage are essential. The right candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), with good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to successfully organise the work schedule in a busy environment.
Ideally, candidates will have experience in customer service or export sales within the manufacturing industry (engineering or technical), with a strong understanding of the manufacturing process. Previous experience of LED lighting and controls is ideal, and preference will be given to candidates with European language skills.
The Sales Support Engineer role requires the candidate to communicate efficiently with customers regarding product specifications and technical advice. Product training will be provided.
Sales Support Engineer candidates must hold a full UK driving license.
Hours and Location:
40 Hours a Week (usually Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends)
Based primarily in Tredegar, Gwent.
