We're Hiring!
We are currently recruiting a Commissioning Editor to maximise the performance of titles in the clinical medicine subject area as well as commissioning content in line with strategic objectives for the development of print and digital products, aimed at clinicians, researchers and practitioners.

The company’s headquarters are located in Hoboken, New Jersey, with operations in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, South America, and the Middle East.
Core Tasks at a Glance:
> Commissioning and developing appropriate market-led books and digital products in endocrinology, obstetrics/gynecology, emergency medicine and respiratory medicine
> Assessing proposals
> Researching markets and competition
> Responsibility for growing the program’s digital revenues by commissioning new digital only products and developing digital products from existing key copyrights
> Managing budgets and financial performance
> Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the profitable, timely and overall successful publication of products
Commissioning Editor Selection Criteria:
> Previous experience in editorial, with some knowledge of book commissioning and managing a front and backlist (some experience of commissioning in the health/medical sciences would be an advantage)
> Good negotiation and influencing skills required
> Knowledge of editorial processes and systems, ability to make sound economic decisions
> Proven ability to communicate
> Planning and organizing skills
> Self-motivated and able to work relatively autonomously, with good time management skills
> Decision making skills
> Excellent written and spoken English
> Educated to degree level - BSc or BA equivalent
