This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and pro-active Human Resources Advisor who will help support the growing HR Team in providing a comprehensive HR service to all levels of personnel within the Trust Academies.

Human Resources Advisor - Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:

- Providing a professional and comprehensive HR service and advice to the Trust and the Academies which reflect policies and best practice.

- Maintain awareness and knowledge of changes and developments in employment legislation.

- Advise and support each Academy on issues relating to conduct, discipline and grievance. Ensure compliance with employee representation and consultation rights.

- Encourage and guide Academies in developing and maintaining effective interpersonal and communication skills that promote a positive, productive working environment.

- Work with the HR Manager in change management activities

- Participate and manage due diligence, bid and tender activities.

- Support the Academies in planning and implementing a recruitment strategy

- Develop and deliver personnel plans that ensure the right structure and skill base are within the Academies.

- Oversee recruitment from search to appointment. Comply with requisition and budget approval

- Review and ensure new starter and leaver processes are completed for all staff.

- Negotiate with employees and trade union representatives within the Academies on issues relating to TUPE transfers, terms and conditions and policies and procedures.

- Responsible for maintaining and developing TU relationships and leading the collective bargaining processes.

- Work closely with the HR team in designing, implementing and conducting internal Management training workshops

- Drive the performance review scheme supporting the Academies with objective setting and identification of training and development requirements.

- Ensure systems of recording and processing personnel data are administered and fully maintained

- Ensure each Academy manage information held on the HR database to ensure it complies with any legal or data protection policies.

- Ensure the Academies manage the administration of company benefits

Human Resources Advisor - Key Skill / Experience Requirements

- CIPD qualified.

- Previous knowledge and experience of working within the Education sector would be preferable.

- Experience of dealing with TUPE Transfers is desirable.

- Experience of working within a Human Resource Advisor or management role.

- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice

- Experience in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures

- Previous experience of negotiation and consulting with Trade Unions

- Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/calendar, etc)

- Ability to prepare and present reports to director level.

- A good working knowledge of HR systems.

- Experience at recruitment interviewing and assessment at a senior level

- Excellent organisation and time management skills

- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

- Dedication, commitment and a flexible approach

- Be of a professional and presentable appearance.

- Full clean driving licence and willing to travel throughout the UK.
