We are looking to speak to candidates with in-depth experience in formulation development for surfactant based applications. Whilst a chemistry degree would be advantageous, relevant experience is paramount.

The Technical Sales Manager Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager in our Surfactants team at Middlesbrough. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the technical development and growth of our Surfactants & Blends & Concentrates portfolios. This is a customer facing role.

Technical Sales Manager Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

> Develop new B&Cs and raw materials onto the range focussing on product differentiation and added value attributes (concept through to full scale production).
> Deliver formulation cost reductions to ensure competitiveness.
> Troubleshoot and fix problematic batches.
> Provide a high level of technical support to key customers
> Present innovative concepts to customer development teams.
> Provide support and training to sales /commercial teams.
> Input into the design of literature to support marketing activities.

We are looking for:

> In-depth experience in formulation development for surfactant based applications (household, auto care, oilfield etc.).
> Proven track record in delivering ideas into production.
> Excellent knowledge of surfactants and associated products (applications, market trends, manufacturer base etc.).
> Chemistry degree advantageous but experience more critical.
> Creativity, innovation and an open mind on how we can change and develop to meet the evolving demands of our markets.
> In addition, computer literacy, numeracy, attention to detail and presentation skills will be essential.
