Job Elements: -
• Support all aspects of the development of new and existing products that are both ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘fit for manufacture’.
• Work within a project team, to provide leadership in the design and development of new and technically innovative devices from concept to production release.
• Carry out, support or mentor engineering activities across the entire development process.
• Provide technical authority input to anticipate and support issue resolution by participating in or coordinating investigations, containment, corrective, preventive, improvement, inspection and cost reduction activities in a controlled manner.
• Work within the cost and time targets agreed for each project/product.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, e. g Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of four years’ real engineering working experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Computer literate to include MS Office suite.
• Experience of Microsoft Project and MRP systems.
• Ideally Solidworks literate
• Skills in design of small scale complex electro-mechanical assemblies would be advantageous.
