Job Elements: -
• To ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently. They are produced on time at the right quality, quantity and cost to the satisfaction of the customer at the right price.
• Management of staff, training and development
• Process/planned maintenance
• Equipment performance and effectiveness (OEE)
• Management and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Health & Safety (COSH, Risk Assessments etc.)
• Cost down projects to remove labour and waste from processes, which includes automation of products and processes.
• Equipment repairs and renewals
• Control of press and mould tooling and spares
• Jigs & fixture maintenance and R&R capability.
• New equipment specification and commissioning
• New product introduction (NPI)
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experienced for 5 years in Production Engineering environment
• HNC in an Engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of PLC’s and Electrical/Electronics is desirable.
• PC Literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and a design package such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Analytical and problem solving skills and techniques
• Budgetary control and understanding of costs
