Job Elements: -
• A multi-skilled role with a very strong bias towards Electrical discipline
• To provide an efficient control engineering service that includes effective fault finding on complex control systems.
• To maximise the operating efficiency of the plant and to maintain the assets, these objectives are to be achieved at the lowest practicable cost.
• Contribute to the development and progression of on-site engineering practices.
• Assist Engineering Management in electrical activities, working in close liaison with Production and other departments.
• Responsibility for Electrical Maintenance activities in providing a continuous 24 hour maintenance service for all process and ancillary support equipment and services, in order to maximize Plant availability and Production capability
• Improve the net operating efficiency of the plant.
• Proactive approach to spare part asset management.
• Assist in capital projects that have electrical activities.
The ideal candidate will have: -
• HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with Mechanical Skills
• Familiar with and proficient in operating and maintaining a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment Including various computer operated systems, Allen Bradley PLC’s, Inverter drives and servo equipment
• Experience of maintenance in a continuous manufacturing process
• Preferably experience of implementation of world class maintenance techniques
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent track record in problem solving in a pressure environment
• Excellent electrical control knowledge and experience
