Our ‘Basics’ measure, illustrating the success in both mathematics and English, was an exceptional 77% at grade 4 and 54% at the very rigorous grade 5! These achievements now mean that here at Bramhall we have moved to become the joint second highest achieving school in Stockport! A clear reflection on the work staff and students have undertaken in our aim to secure outstanding outcomes for all.

As we are aware it is impossible to compare results in 2017 with previous results due to the national changes this year in the reformed GCSEs and the new grading system, but our outcomes demonstrate a significant improvement from last year despite the bar being raised!

It is evident that intensive preparation, hard work, resilience and commitment resulted in students being rewarded for their endeavours – and they thoroughly deserved it! It has been a very difficult year for all students coping with such fundamental changes but sheer focus has now paid off for so many individuals who are now well set to move on to the next phase in their educational career.
